Tour of the Honey Farm

You're invited to tour Indian Summer Honey Farm and learn not only about the bees, but also how honey is harvested. This free, one-hour indoor tour takes place at the harvesting facility from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
During the first half of the tour, you'll discover the fascinating life of the bees and learn how the Werner family cares for them. The second half takes you on a walk through the honey harvesting process, giving you a firsthand look at how honey is collected and prepared.
Following the tour, you'll have the opportunity to browse the honey shop and view their products if you choose. Honey and other products will be available for purchase. You may purchase pre-filled jars of honey, or bring your own container (glass jars of various sizes are recommended) to fill for $4.10 per pound. For reference, a quart-size Mason jar holds approximately 3 pounds of honey.
The tour is free and open to everyone who is interested. Please sign up in advance so Indian Summer Honey Farm can prepare for the expected group size.
Transportation
If there is enough interest, transportation will be available by church van. If you would like to ride the van, please indicate this when you sign up.
The church van will depart from UGBC at 9:00 AM sharp.
