Leadership

    In April, 2020, Pastor Richard Schmidt D.Min.,Ph.D., was called to Union Grove Baptist Church.  Pastor Rich brought with him 40 years of ministry work and, additionally, 32 years of law enforcement & administrative experience. He is passionate about teaching the Scriptures both literally and contextually.
     Pastor Rich & his wife, Valori, founded Prophecy Focus Ministries, LLC.  He can also be heard weekly on Prophecy Focus on TV30  & Prophecy Unfolding on VCY, FM107.  
    Pastor Rich is passionate about preaching and teaching the Scriptures, always with an evangelistic flavor.

 Justin trusted Christ as his Savior in 2007 & was baptized in late 2008.  He has faithfully served in children's ministries, including AWANA & two years as Director of Trailridge Camp.
He has completed a 3-yearcore curriculum through Faith Bible Institute.  Justin has been in ministry, including being a deacon and chairman of the deacon board at UGBC.
Justin is bi-vocational while he continues running and working for his excavation company, JTC Excavating with his sons.
Since receiving Christ, Justin has been interested in evangelism and eager to serve the Lord wherever He leads.
Justin married his high school sweetheart, Jody, in 1992.  Together they have been blessed with 7 children & 8 grandchildren.
Justin & Jody share a passion for investing in the next generation.  They enjoy teaching, mentoring, & guiding young people through a biblical worldview while creating meaningful relationships though fun activities & outings.
